Every June we Graze the Bench, in February we Love the Bench.
The Beamsville Bench wineries feature special offerings over two weekends in February for you to come discover the beauty of the Bench in the winter. This year, wine lovers visited the Bench February 8 & 9 and 16-18 to partake in exclusive experiences.
At Peninsula Ridge, folks enjoyed delicious soups that were perfect for the cold, February weather. They featured a Chipotle Chicken Chowder paired with their 2015 Beal Vineyard Chardonnay and Black Bean soup paired with their 2016 McNally Vineyard Pinot Noir.
Hidden Bench was featuring their classic Fireside Raclette that featured Upper Canada Cheese Company’s Niagara Gold with Yukon Potatoes, Double-smoked Canadian Pork Loin, and Cornichons paired with a glass of their 2017 Estate Riesling or 2013 Bistro Red.
Angels Gate was showed off Sparkle and Ice with small bites created by Chef Judi, including Brie on a Crostini with Caramelized Pear, Butter Chicken, and a Cranberry Stilton Gourmet Biscuit that paired perfectly with their Archangel Chardonnay, Shine, and Snow Angel Riesling Icewine.
While visiting Fielding you were able to indulge in oysters from Tide & Vine, and enjoy a glass of their wines that pairs with the oysters.
At Rosewood, guests were able to Mix it Up! at an exclusive cocktail making class featuring the versatility of their Estate Mead and other local ingredients.
Thirty Bench was offering their version of Table D’Hôte featuring a Forest Mushroom and Goat Cheese Tartelette, a Beef Bourguignon Slider, and a Mini Tropical Panna Cotta paired with their 2016 Small Lot Chardonnay, 2016 Winemaker’s Red, and 2016 Late Harvest.
